New tools for a new week

Today I visited the Bank Street Bookstore just a few streets down from my house. I was in search of some new tools for my classes this week. Look what I found! The book Waddle! byRufus Butler Seder is great for preschoolers. AND, it's a scanimation book (which means the pictures move), so it works perfect for dance teachers like us who like to show visuals! Check it out... I highly recommend it!

I also found Yoga Pretzels- 50 Fun Yoga Activities for Kids. Read an earlier post about Yoga Pretzels here!

This week in my creative movement classes I will incorporate breath. All of these seem easy to teach and fun to remember!

What will you do this week? Anything new or different? I would love to hear...

In the meantime movecreateeducate...

  2. This is great stuff! I just wrote about yoga and how I think teaching students the importance of breath in ballet would be beneficial to them. So awesome to see that someone is actually doing it! It's my Dancers and Conditioning post at insideballet.com. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about teaching children.
