Have you ever used these CD's from Eric Chappelle, Music for Creative Dance? I just ordered two of the volumes. I have a feeling I might need them this summer, since I will be teaching creative dance without a live pianist. Eeek! I think these CD's are fabulous, and always offer what I am looking for. I love them especially because, it's all instrumental and gives the students opportunity to see and feel the movement!

Have you found any great music lately? What is your favorite music to use?
Thank you thank you thank you! In college I never bought creative dance CD's because I never thought I would actually teach it. Now that I do I'm always at a loss for what to do with music. This is why I love you, Maria. So helpful and you always blog about the best things.
ReplyDeleteI've used the Eric Chappelle CDs quite a bit - they coordinate perfectly with teaching creative dance concepts, particularly if you follow Anne Green Gilbert's "syllabus." There's a track for everything. I listed them on a 5 Favs post I did a while back. The Richard Maddock CD I listed at the very bottom has also become a big favorite - great for that mixture of ballet and creative too!
ReplyDeleteThanks as always Tiffany for reading and commenting! :)
ReplyDeleteNichelle, I looked at your post a few days back and was trying to decide what to buy! It was really helpful!!! :) I e-mailed Richard Maddock to see how I could purchase one of his! :) Thanks so much!
